74HC161B1R Synchronous Binary Counter

Built a small test jig with this chip and it counted perfectly from the moment I applied power. The synchronous presettable feature made initializing the count so much easier than my old TTL parts. Clean, reliable 4-bit operation for under a buck.

Used this to replace a fried counter in an old frequency divider project, and the synchronous preset made re-syncing the stages effortless. Fast propagation delay kept my timing chain clean even at 10 MHz.

The synchronous presettable feature makes integrating this into my project incredibly straightforward. It counts reliably and the DIL-16 package was exactly what I needed.
