TCRT5000L Reflective Optical Sensor

I love that the leaded package blocks visible light—it made my IR proximity sensor circuit much more reliable in a brightly lit room. Wired it up this afternoon and the readings are crisp and consistent.

Works perfectly for my Arduino line-following bot—the built-in IR filtering keeps it from getting confused by room lights. Detection range is exactly what I needed for tracking a white line on a dark surface.

Took a stab at wiring this into a line-following bot and the leaded package made mounting a breeze—no fiddly SMD pads to deal with. The visible light blocking really does its job; readings stayed consistent even under my desk lamp. Just wish I'd bought more than a handful.
