7805 5V Regulator

Fixing my old bench supply was a breeze once I swapped in this TO-220 package—the three-terminal design makes wiring it up almost foolproof. It's holding a rock-steady 5V even when I've got a couple of loads pulling from it.

Put three of these in a project this week, and the fixed 5V output from the D²PAK package stayed rock solid even under a small load. No noise or dropout issues at all—just clean, reliable regulation.

The TO-220 package made heat dissipation a breeze with a small clip-on heatsink. It delivered a steady 5V even when I varied the input from 9 to 15V. Exactly what my Arduino project needed.
