ATMega328P-AU in QFP package

Finally got these soldered onto a custom PCB for a sensor project, and they work flawlessly with the standard 16MHz crystal. The QFP package is much nicer to hand-solder than I expected with some flux and a fine tip.

Replacing the bootloader on these took about ten minutes with my hot-air station, and it’s running stable at 16 MHz. The QFP footprint makes for a much cleaner PCB layout than the usual through-hole version.

Solder paste and a hot-air rework station made these QFP chips a breeze to place, and they programmed perfectly on the first try with my usual bootloader. The pins are well-spaced for hand soldering if you're careful, which is more than I can say for some other surface-mount parts I've wrestled with
