Wiring it up was a breeze since the serial control means I only needed one pin from my Arduino, and the 4x20 layout gives me plenty of room for status messages without any flicker. It’s been running for a week straight and the text stays crisp and clear.

The on-board microcontroller makes this thing plug-and-play — I had it running on my bench in about five minutes with just two wires for power and serial. Four lines of 20 characters is plenty readable even at arm's length, and the contrast is crisp right out of the box.

I was pleasantly surprised by how easy the serial control makes it to set up—just two wires and I had text scrolling across four lines. The 20-character width is perfect for displaying sensor data without needing to adjust formatting.
