I used this sensor for a small night-light project and the digital output made it easy to connect to my Arduino without extra components. Works reliably as long as you tweak the threshold with the potentiometer for your lighting conditions.

The potentiometer gives me fine control over the threshold, so I can tune it to trigger only in direct sunlight rather than under a lamp. It’s been spot-on for my indoor plant setup, and the digital output makes wiring it to my microcontroller a breeze.

The little screw for adjusting the light threshold made it super easy to fine-tune for my desk lamp project. Plugged it in and got a clean digital signal right away, which saved me a ton of debugging time.
