ESP-12 (ESP8266) wireless WIFI transceiver

Finally got my home weather station talking to the router thanks to this module – the 802.11b/g/n compatibility made setup straightforward. For the price, getting reliable WiFi for a simple Arduino project feels like a steal.

Took a gamble on this little board and it worked out—got it talking to my router in under ten minutes with a simple AT command string. The 802.11b/g/n support covers my old network fine, and the price makes it a no-brainer for hobby projects.

For a few bucks, this thing punches way above its weight—the ESP8266 handles 802.11n effortlessly and I had it fetching weather data within an hour of soldering. It's now the backbone of my home sensor setup.
