1838B Infrared IR receiver

The ambient light rejection is noticeably better than the cheap receivers I used before, so my remote works reliably even in a bright room. It picks up signals from across the living room without any fuss.

I’ve been using this IR receiver to build a custom remote control setup, and it picks up signals from across the room even with the lights on—the ambient light rejection is a real plus. The compact size made it easy to fit into my small project enclosure.
